Blind Contour Drawings

This gallery contains drawings using a drawing method designed to improve eye-hand coordination. Each drawing has been drawn without looking at my paper at all.

That’s right… no peeking allowed! As a result, the outcome can be quite abstract and pretty cool, in my opinion.

Freesia

This bright red Freesia grew in my garden on the rooftop several years ago. It’s now available as a card or postcard in my RedBubble shop. Click the Shop this Design button to shop for cards.

Red Tulip

This pretty red tulip reminds me of my mother’s Spring garden. Her favorite color in tulips and geraniums was always red.

This tulip is available as a card or postcard on my RedBubble shop. Click the Shop this Design button to take you directly there.

Forget-me-nots

Forget-me-nots are a symbol of true love and respect. They are also a symbol of faithfulness. If you give someone forget-me-nots, you’re showing them that you keep that person in your thoughts.

This design is available on my RedBubble shop. You will go directly there when you click the Shop this Design button.

Fairy Wren

This funky little Fairy Wren was drawn using the blind contour technique and later painted with watercolors. It’s one of the most iconic birds of Australia. These birds might be tiny, but they are full of personality!

This little wren is available on several products in my RedBubble shop, including cards, accent cushions, prints, water bottles, tote bags and even a clock face! You’ll find them all when you click the Shop this Design button above.
